We are a co-educational, residential school (ICSE Syllabus), nestled in an enchanting valley in South India. We believe education is founded upon the acquisition of core skills and knowledge taught through integrated experiences. In every area, we stress on critical thinking and an open approach to explore diverse dimensions.

Learning at the
Peepal Grove school

The school has been set up to be at the forefront of educational reform by imbibing the finest pedagogical practices from around the world while being firmly rooted in the cultural ethos of our nation.

Our academic programme is designed to provide creative space and means for students to delve deeper and go beyond the syllabus. The school is not just a learning space for students – the school itself is learning, striving to do justice to the needs of children. The emphasis is on enhancing intrinsic motivation, sparking the innate curiosity of children and developing creativity and critical thinking.

Our school motto sums it up:
Samvo Manamsi Jaanatam – With Our Minds Put Together, May We Understand.

What
sets us
apart

We believe that a close teacher-student relationship (1:5 teacher-to-student ratio) is the bedrock of a healthy learning environment. The role of the teachers is to tap into the natural love of learning that all children are born with. The students’ inherent needs of autonomy, connection and competence are nurtured through close collaboration with teachers and peers. Small class and dorm sizes, vast 30+ acre campus, dedicated faculty support and a strong sense of community – these are some of the distinguishing features of our school.

Student Life
at the
Peepal Grove School

Life at a boarding school can be enriching, exciting, memorable and unique for students. At The Peepal Grove School, we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment to our students where they have access to a range of academic, sports and extracurricular activities. Students have the opportunity to build close relationships with their peers and teachers, and often develop important life skills such as independence, perseverance, openness, time management, self-discipline and life long friendships. Living on campus also means being part of a 24/7 learning environment, where educational opportunities extend beyond the classroom.

Observe the children without prejudice, Don’t try to put them into moulds that you want to put them in. They may fit into it, but deep down there is no happiness. A rose is a rose and a lotus is a lotus. They should be allowed to bloom in their own essence.

Alumni Testimonials

Students are encouraged to question what is being taught and also relate them to real-life scenarios. Outdoor classes and the depth of interaction with the faculty also made a big difference.” According to Akshay that’s what really makes PGS a paragon of alternative education.

Gowri Rekha - Alumni - Peepal Grove School

Our teachers were our guardians, our friends and our family. Even the kitchen staff knew us by our names and were fond of us. I think it’s this amiable atmosphere that makes PGS a unique alternative residential school.

From the day I first set foot in PGS to the day I left, I’ve gone through a considerable change. Not just as a student, but as a human being who found himself. I often shudder at the thought of ‘what if’; what if I hadn’t chosen this school? All I can say now, is that I am more than glad to have found this ‘magical’ place.
